Travel Spot

The place i would go to for the J term travel would have to be Hawaii with the pro bowl and everything like that. I would go there because it has to deal with football which i love so much and it also has some what to do with my major and that would help me in the long run in my life. It would be awesome seeing all the different things in Hawaii. You know they are so many different things to look and you want to look at everything possible during that time you are down there. That would be my choice on were i would want to go for my J term travel.

Personal Mission Statement Revised

Looking back at the 1st blog about this everything that i wrote down really has not changed all that much. I strive to be more funnier everyday and stuff like that. I still try my best at school and try to get the best job i could get after college. I have indeed met new people since that post and those people are pretty awesome and i hang out with different people everyday. On the last one people really have not been down in the dumps lately so that has not been a problem with that one but when people do get down i will still try to cheer them up and everything like that.

To be funny i would tell jokes about something that happened back in the day that my friends did not hear already and just try to make things funny instead of serious all the time.

Kindness

Looking through some blogs that we did back in the day i followed up on the pictures that makes us happy. From those pictures you can look back and see what you have done with your family or dog or whatever you put as your picture. If it was your family you would treat with tender love and care at all times and almost every week try to keep in touch with your mom and dad to see how they are doing and such. If you have a younger sibling is even better because you know that they miss you and want you back home so you just try to be the best role model you can be for him or her. If it was something else like your dog you just look back at all the good times you have had with it and think about the good times you will have with it when you go back for breaks and everything like that. Out of everything though everyone should treat each other how you would like to be treated and everything like that.

90/10 rule

This actually happened this past weekend when my friends wanted to come down to Sioux City and go the mall and hang out at my house and try some awesome places to eat in Sioux City. I called my mom and told her what has going to happen and i wanted everything to go perfect just like i planned. We made the trip down and we started off at the mall and we were there for a long time. We then decided to go to my house to say hi to my mom and dad and for them to meet my dogs. After that we decided to go eat and take the tour of the city. Like show them my high school and my field and everything like that. We took the tour then all of the sudden they got a call from someone and decided to go hang with them and it made me kind of sad that they wanted to go there and not stay in the city and everything like that. But it is all good because we will do this in the winter when we have a longer time to do some different things in the city.

Charts

The chart i chose to talk about is the page 254 and it was about on average , how many hours per day do you listen to music or radio. Looking at the chart i believe that is right. I say that because i like to listen to music everyday at anytime during the day. The more i listen to it the more happier i get and more energetic because some of the songs you listen to can get excited and want to dance or something like that. If i do not listen to a lot of music a day I'm not in that good of mood because i don't have a song stuck in my head and when i do i sing it all day and it makes me happy.

Ideal Place

If i had an ideal place i would love to live i think in North Carolina by a lake or by the beach. It is never to warm in North Carolina and it is just so nice there and i bet everyone is so nice to each other. When looking up how much a apartment would cost on a beach it would be about 1000 dollars per month. I do not know how much a future profession makes there. The schools around that area are about the same everyone else. They teach the same material everyone else does but in a different way of teaching it. The climate in North Carolina is very nice. It hardly ever gets to cold or to warm. It is like a perfect place to live there. The land there also is very green everything is nice and people take care of stuff outside their house. You have a total of 9 parks to go to if you want to camp out or even ride you bike through the trail. They are mostly on the border of the state but it does not matter people like to this at anytime. North Carolina would be my dream place and nothing would change it!

SLO

One thing i would change in my hometown to be like SLO would have to be that people can not smoke anywhere anymore. It would make the air better for everyone and you wouldnt smell cigarettes everywhere you go.

Education- Going to school to get the job i want in real life

Family/Friends-Always have enough time to talk to them no matter what happens in your life.

Happiness-Never want to be in a bad mood always try to be happy and make things in life good.

Characteristics-This is what makes you in real life and you want people to like you so you can make new friends.

Sports- Been playing them all my life and this is how i met my friends and other families.

Singapore

The score i got was 84-100 which is call to joy. I would agree with it. I can be creative and i like my life the way it is. Most of the time i am in a happy mood and i like to make people laugh. I would not change it anything that has happened.

Lecture

The thing i want to remember from the lecture is that how bad the genocide was and what she did to live through that rough time. Also remember what she told us and how she can talk about it to everyone where i couldnt do that cause it would remind me of the bad times from that place.

Left to Tell

I never really heard about this before we had to read it so it was very shocking to me. That she lived through this and can tell other people about what happened very specifically. That her whole family died besides her and her brother.

Happiest Person

My mother would have to be the happiest person i know. She is i think 46 or 47 i keep losing track of it. She lives in Sergeant Bluff Iowa. She works at the bookkeeper at East High then she goes home and relaxes and makes food for her and my dad since all her children are in college. She is just really nice to anyone she talks to and is pretty much always in a good mood. Whenever she is not yelling at me for something and when she wants to talk to me about something and you can tell from her voice as well. She really does not have a quote she says at all.

Hometown

I am from Sioux City Iowa. It is a pretty decent size city to live in. There are not a whole lot of things really to do but sometimes there is you just have to find the right day. People there are pretty good in general they are just like everyone else they have bad days and good days. Doing what they really want to do in their life would make them happy in the city.

Procrastination

My favorite procrastination activity would have to be hanging out with friends or watching tv especially if there is a good show or a good movie on. This is a perfect procrastination because you have friends everywhere you and basically that is everywhere you go also and everybody likes doing those things no matter what.

Negative Messages

I really have no negative messages on my goals. I just try to be funny everyday and i do not care what other people think of it. I just like to live my life the way i want to and i do not care what people say.

Goals

My personal strengths are that i am a funny person and a person who likes to meet new people everyday and get to know them. To put these things into one goal would be tough to do i think i would just live my life the way i have been and life it to the fullest.

Qualities for a Mate

There is a lot of things i look for in a mate. I want her to have a great personality. Like always be talkative and never stop a conversation. She has to be smart and know what she wants to do in her life. Being good looking is always up there for everyone because everyone wants a good looking mate to be with. I also do not want the mate to use the money for worse less things. Having money is always a good thing to have. There are some other ones also but I do not want to name everything.

Money or Cliff

Yes there are currently ways i am spending my money through values. The things i buy are food and water for me to stay alive. I also feed other people because i basically live with four people. Also buying sports things. Like football tape, shorts, shoes, and all those things.

Yes there is a way to back off on the money i am using. The strategy would be do not let other people eat the food save it for my roommate and I. Also do not tell people that you just went out to buy new food cause then they will come and eat it.

Thrift Post

When I was young i thought my family had a pretty good amount of money we really never discussed it ever but it seemed like my parents were doing a good job of the money. Money was seen as good because it helped get us food and everything that we needed for the house. Lately i have been using a lot of money so i need to stop that but it is tough to stop when you really want something and your parents are not looking after you because you are in college.

Hello Everyone

        Hello everyone i am Connor Ulven. Some of the things I like to do is I like to play sports. In fact I came to BVU to play football and so far I am loving every minute of it. I also like to hang with my friends and have a good time doing whatever we do.
        Some back round of me I was born in Sioux City, IA. I lived there for awhile til we moved to Sgt. Bluff. I still went to East High even though I lived in Sgt. Bluff. I am 18 but going to be 19 in November. I have two brothers named Brandon and Spencer. They both are at ISU and they are having a great time there. I also have two dogs named Weezy and Lexie. Lexie is the family dog and Weezy is my brothers dog and we take care of him since he is still at college. I love my parents and I would not do anything without them. They are named Brian and Karen Ulven.
         Some things i am looking forward to this year is the football games. Being on the team makes it ten times better because even if I am not playing I still have the best seat in the house. Other things are meeting new people around campus and hanging out with them. I am not a shy person and some people think I am a funny person and a great guy in general.
